V Inc. Unveils Bravo DVD Player
HD Tuner also offered

V Inc. (Costa Mesa, CA) has released its Bravo D2 DVD-scaling DVI media player HD1 high-definition (HD) tuner. The Bravo D2, V Inc.’s follow-up to last year’s D1, offers a direct, digital video signal that bypasses analog conversion, as well as a scaler that outputs video in DVI or component video formats in 480p, 1080i or 720p HD resolution. Upgrades with the new system include DVI color, brightness and contrast controls; improved analog video output; and integrated screensaver functionality. Other features include dual picture zooms; MPEG, JPEG, DAV-R/+R CD, CD-R/RW and Kodak Picture CD feedback; and PCM, DTS and Dolby digital audio pass-throughs.

The HD1 tuner receives programming from HD and SD channels with an auxiliary A/V input that provides picture-in-picture on any TV. The system receives up to 1,500 digital channels, and supports 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i resolutions with selectable configurations for widescreen 16:9 and standard 4:3 displays. Outputs include component video Y/Pb/Pr composite video, S-Video, analog audio L/R and coaxial digital audio.
