Mitsubishi Digital Electronics Americas’ Presentation Products division (Irvine, CA) has unveiled the SE2U, a projector with upgraded brightness, contrast and lamp life that’s offered for less than $1,000. The projectors’ lamps are rated for 2,500-hour usage, and emit 1,500 lumens of illumination -- which the company reports is sufficient for typical conference rooms and offices -- as well as a 2000:1 contrast ratio and feeds from VCR or DVD players for multi-media usage.
